Payroll & Compensation

Peeple will administer the complete payroll and employee compensation cycle, wading through the legalities and complexities on your behalf. The business will decide the extent of Peeple’s responsibilities which may include any or all activities within the payments run.

  • Collating employee data, updating changes in data and employment conditions
  • Completing FS4s and forwarding to Tax Department
  • Handling employment and termination registrations
  • Handling work permit applications and renewals
  • Registering employees in payroll system, calculating leave entitlements, updating COLA and other entitlements such as leave carry forward, study leave, maternity leave and others
  • Processing regular payroll runs as per business payroll cycle, including inputting extra hours, bonuses, fringe benefits and allowance payments and checking of employee payments
  • Providing FS5s per payroll run
  • Providing payroll bank file, or relevant details for employee payments
  • Providing payslips through the payroll employee portal, or by email
  • Administering leave and sick leave records
  • Administering and paying employee compensation as per wage packages
  • Providing payroll analysis reports per payroll run, as agreed
  • Performing end of year process, finalising FS7 and issuing FS3s
  • Guiding the business regarding new or updated legal requirements
  • Liaising with employees regarding their payroll queries
  • Maintaining employee files

Work Permit Applications & Renewals

Do not let bureaucracy discourage you! 

Peeple works to ensure that the work permit application and renewal process is efficient so your team is complete within the shortest time possible.

Have you identified a perfect fit for your team? Do they require a work permit? 

We will follow through the application from start to end, whether the prospective employee is still abroad or already in Malta, including:

  • Ensuring the right application documents are completed by both the employer and prospective employee
  • Ensuring all items on the application check lists are ticked
  • Ensuring all documentation, including relevant certifications, medical results (where relevant), lease and housing approvals and employment contracts are collated
  • Submitting the applications to IDCU and ID Malta
  • Liaising with the employer and/or employee for any additional updates required
  • Liaising with candidates who are still abroad to apply for visa to enter Malta once approval in principle letter is issued by ID Malta
  • Guiding candidates on second part of application process once they land in Malta
